Vicuna, endemic and emblematic animal of Peru. It lives mainly on the high plateaus of the Andes. It is a camelid related to alpaca. It can only be shorn every three years. Particularly fine, its wool was already very popular with the Incas. Today it is traditionally used for the manufacture of luxury clothing.
