West African slender-snouted crocodile. It is found from Mali to Nigeria, mainly in rivers with thick vegetation. It usually measures 2.5 to 4 meters and weighs around 200 kg. It feeds on fish, amphibians and reptiles. Prized for his meat and leather, it’s a victim of poaching. Although protected, he is in critical danger of extinction.
