Green Turtle. It’s the most commonly seen sea turtle species in Bermuda. The islands that make up Bermuda are surrounded by lush seagrass beds, shallow coral reefs and crystal-clear waters which provide perfect year-round habitat for young turtles as well as complete protection. Green sea turtles are named for the hue of their skin, not their shells. Adults sleep at night by wedging themselves in reefs, and can hold their breath for 4 to 7 hours.
