Mswati III. Born on April 19, 1968, he is the current king of Eswatini (formerly Swaziland). He is the 67th son of King Sobhuza II, who died in 1982. He succeeded his father in 1986 after a period of regency of four years. He was officially crowned king on April 25, 1986 and began to rule with his mother titled Ndlovukazi (“the Great Elephant”). It is the last absolute monarch of Africa.
