José Maria Teclo Morelos y Pavón. Mexican independenceist religious born in 1765, it is one of the rebel leaders to have fought alongside King Ferdinand VII against the government of Joseph Bonaparte. At the end of the proclamation of independence of 1814, he was named general-in-chief of the insurgent forces. He will finally be captured at the end of the battle of Santa Maria, sentenced and executed in 1815.
