Nine-banded armadillo, locally called “Mulita” it’s an animal endemic to Uruguay. This small mammal lives in the tropical forests of Central America and northern South America. They feed mainly on insects and are recognizable by their defensive shell formed of horny plates that allows them to curl up in the presence of danger.
