Indo-Pacific sailfish. Dark blue on top, its upper jaw is elongated in the form of a spear and its first dorsal fin greatly enlarged in the form of a sail. They feed on tuna and mackerel, some of the fastest fish in the Ocean, and grow very fast reaching up to 1.5 m in lenght within one year. While the semi-industrial fishing industry in Seychelles relies mostly on tuna and swordfish, sailfish are also a staple catch. They are considered a hard-fighting sport fish by recreational anglers.
