Spirit of Liberty. This gilded bronze statue was made by Auguste Dumont in 1836. It overlooks the July Column on the Bastille square in Paris. This monument is dedicated to the victims of the Revolution of July 1830 which led to the dismissal of Charles X for the benefit of Louis-Philippe.
