Temple of Angkor. It is the emblematic building of the archaeological site of the same name. Located in the rainforest near the city of Siem Reap, the many temples of this site were erected between the 9th and 15th centuries. The former capital of the Khmer Empire was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1992. Today it is Cambodia’s first tourist attraction.
