Frill-necked lizard or frilled dragon. Endemic to Australia and South New Guinea, its common names comes from the large frill around its neck, which usually stays folded against its body. It spends the majority of the time in the trees and feeds mainly on insects and small vertebrates. This relatively large lizard is averaging 85 cm in total length including the tail.
