Martial eagle. With a wingspan of up to 2.4 meters and a weight of 6 kg, it is the largest species of eagle in Africa. It is found throughout sub-Sahelian Africa. It is a very powerful bird that feed on vertebrates from 1 to 5 kg such as small impalas. Females lay on average only one egg every two years. It is a vulnerable species today.
