White rhinoceros or square-lipped rhinoceros. Whether white or black, they have the same gray color. The length of the white rhino can be up to 4 m, its height at the withers is approx. 1.90 m and its weight from 2 to 3 tonnes. The name “white rhinoceros” is said to be the result of a linguistic confusion over the Dutch word “wijde” (large) which describes the shape of its lip which distinguishes it from other species.
