Cornucopia or horn of plenty. It is generally a symbol of wealth, abundance, generosity, fertility and luck. The cornucopia occupies a particularly prominent position in Roman symbolism, as it serves as an attribute of various deities. The cornucopia can be found for the first time on Hellenistic coins from the 3rd century BC, which were minted by the ruling Ptolemies of Egypt. It originally served as an expression of the wealth and fertility of the Egyptian soil.
