Napoleon fish or humphead wrasse. It is one of the largest bony fish in coral reefs, up to 2.30 m long and weighing nearly 200 kg. However, its average size is 60 cm. It owes its name to its hump, which recalls Napoleon’s cocked hat. It frequents the tropical waters of the Indian Ocean, including the Red Sea, to the islands of the central Pacific Ocean. It appreciates the outer reef slopes, such as the slopes of the passes or the reefs bordering the lagoons up to 100 m deep.
