Russian protected cruiser “Aurora” built in St. Petersburg and launched in 1900 to serve in the Pacific. After taking part to the war against Japan, it has been affected to the Baltic imperial fleet in 1905. The cruiser remained a symbol of the Bolshevik revolution after firering a first symbolic blanc shot in the port of St. Petersburg on October 25th, 1917.
