Grévy’s zebra or imperial zebra. It is the largest of the wild equines but also the rarest of the three zebra species. Threatened species, its population decreased from 15,000 individuals to approximately 2,000 between the years 1970 and 2004. It lives in Eritrea, Kenya and Ethiopia. It is mainly found in the bush and arid plains. The male weighs up to 450 kg and has an average of 80 stripes.
