Falkuša, a traditional fishing boat from the 11th and 12th centuries from the town of Komiža on the island of Vis. It is about 7-8 meters long and 3 meters wide; the characteristic feature of the falkuša also contributed to the boat’s name, namely the two removable wooden sides, called “falke”, which protected the boat during the trip on the open sea, but were removed at the destination to facilitate the process of fishing.
