Zenaida doves. This dove breeds throughout the Caribbean and at the tip of the Yucatán Peninsula. It measures approximately 30 cm in length. This local and often rather wary dove likes fairly open coastal habitats, such as beach dunes with desert scrub, overgrown fields, the outskirts of built-up areas.
