Asturias Victory Cross. This jewel of pre-Romanesque Asturian art is kept in the “Cámara Santa” of the Cathedral of Saint Savior of Oviedo and has become the emblem of the Principality of Asturias, an autonomous community within the Kingdom of Spain. This Latin cross with an oak heart and covered with gold and gems was executed during the reign of Alphonse III at the beginning of the 10th century.
