Sea coconut or double coconut. This coconut tree originating from Seychelles grows essentially in the valley of May on the island of Praslin in the centre of the archipelago. It produces the world’s largest seed (up to 20 kg) and a gigantic nut (up to 25 kg) called “bottom coco” because of its suggestive shape. Very popular as a decorative object, these nuts are regularly stolen and are the subject of a lucrative traffic.
