Southern red-billed hornbill. This species of hornbill is native to the savannas and dryer bushlands of southern Africa. They are omnivorous, taking and eating insects, fruit and seeds. They feed mainly on the ground and will form flocks outside the breeding season. It is found from Malawi and Zambia to southern Angola, northeastern Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, eastern Swaziland and northern South Africa.
