Koalas. They are nocturnal marsupials and not bears. They live in the forests and tree steppes of Australia, especially in eucalyptus trees, and eat almost exclusively eucalyptus leaves. Koala is an Aboriginal word and means “does not drink”. They are an integral part of the Australian bush. Along with kangaroos, they are the most famous animals in Australia.
